About Us

We help international students, scholars, and their spouses transition well to their lives in their new countries.

Who We Are

iLinkStudents is an organization that is committed to helping international students, scholars, and their spouses transition well to their lives in their new countries and at their new colleges. It is run by Christian volunteers who have many years of experience assisting international students and scholars as they enter a new culture. We are all native English speakers who have traveled to many different countries and love to interact with people from all over the world. We look forward to meeting you!

What We Do

Our desire at iLinkStudents is to help students thrive in their new environments. At each campus we offer a variety of activities and services that cater to the needs of incoming international students. English Conversation Groups are one of our primary services, helping students work toward success, while building new friendships. Many other events and activities are offered. Click “Join a Group” to receive campus-specific details.

Conversation groups are designed to help non-native English speakers improve their conversational English, feel more confident speaking English, and build relationships with other internationals. We do NOT teach grammar or written English.
Most groups typically meet on or near the campus about once a week for about 7 weeks. The exact location is determined by the group facilitator. Conversation groups meet for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours each week.
Groups are open to all international students, scholars, and their spouses.
Groups are offered free to international students, scholars, and their spouses. All groups are run by volunteers who enjoy helping internationals.
